Privacy policy
Focus2Scroll is built to help you spend less time on your phone, not to collect data about you. We keep what the app needs to work and to get better, nothing more. Camera checks stay on your phone. Nothing is recorded.

The short version
- No account details needed. The app works with an anonymous ID. We don’t ask for your name, and we only have your email if you join the waitlist.
- The camera never leaves your phone. Strict mode checks that a person is in the frame, on your device. No photos or video are saved or uploaded.
- We can’t see which apps you block or how long you use them. Your phone’s Screen Time system keeps that private, even from us.
- No ads, and we don’t sell your data.
- Delete everything anytime in the app: Settings → Delete my data.
Who we are
Focus2Scroll (“we”, “us”) is operated by Mit Donga, who is responsible for your data (the “controller” under the GDPR). Contact us at contact@focus2scroll.app.

On this website
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and which phone you use, only to tell you when Focus2Scroll launches. Our host keeps standard server logs (like IP address and browser type) for security for a short period. This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we never collect
- Camera images or video. Strict mode runs fully on your phone and saves nothing.
- Which apps you block, or how long you spend in them. Apple's Screen Time keeps this on your device and doesn't share it with us.
- Payment details. Apple or Google handle payment; we never see your card.
- Your contacts, photos, location or messages.
Why we're allowed to use it
If you're in the EU, UK or a similar region, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running the app and your subscription), our legitimate interests (keeping the app secure, fixing bugs and improving it, using data that isn't tied to your name), and your consent (the waitlist email, and the camera and notification permissions you grant on your phone). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that protect it:
- Supabase: our database, which stores the app data above.
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and tells the app whether you have Pro.
- Superwall: shows the subscription screen and tests which layout works best.
- Apple and Google: app stores, payments and push notifications.
- Vercel: hosts this website.
We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We may disclose data if required by law.
Where it's stored
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- App data: until you delete it in the app or ask us to delete it.
- Waitlist email: until we've sent the launch email, or sooner if you unsubscribe.
- Subscription records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. The fastest way to delete everything is in the app: Settings → Delete my data. See Delete your data for details. For anything else, email contact@focus2scroll.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Focus2Scroll isn't meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has used the app, contact us and we'll delete their data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and each user can only read their own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold small to keep the risk small.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
